ABOUT US

The Green Team (originally the Av Green Team) is a network of young people who are keen environmentalists. Our primarily goal is work with the local community to encourage sustainable and plastic-free living.

Our group started as an online page, sharing ideas and events in our local area within Sydney's northern beaches. After countless beach cleans, workshops and events, we have decided to remove ourselves from one location and become more of a hub for greenies.

We love to collaborate with like-minded groups and individuals and spread the message about living more sustainably. If you would like to get involved, please click here

I too am so grateful that there are so many young people like you and you team, who are exploring their hearts and their deeper connection to mother earth, and then actually DOING SOMETHING to change the way we all live.

WHY DO WE DO IT?

Avalon locals Lucy Murray and Guy Williment explain why they undertake regular clean-ups on Sydney's northern beaches and ponder the threat of plastic pollution and littering in this short interview produced for the exhibition Sand in the City at the Museum of Sydney, December 2016 - July 2017.
